An American telecommunications software company, asked us to digitally recreate their US headquarters for an interactive 5G project in Unreal.
I was assigned to create the exterior of the building as well as the main lobby interior. This was a challenging task as I was given very little photographic reference from the client and there was little to no photos online. I did however manage to find satellite imagery using Google Earth, to rough out the size and scale of the building.
After the exterior model was approved, I moved onto the interior.
I not only modelled, unwrapped and textured all the lobby, I also lit, rigged, animated and rendered the final shots. Halfway through production, the project output changed from an interactable real-time experience to an interactable video. To support the team, I was tasked to render these camera transitions using Redshift. However, due to time constraints, I only had five days to achieve all this.
Additionally, there was another shot of a conference room I textured, lit, rigged, animated and rendered (though this was a sourced model due to the time limitations).
In the end, I was quite pleased with what I was able to produce within the short time frame.
The client was very happy with the end result. Most of the final shots I rendered actually ended up being used in the final experience; with only some subtle light changes and UI overlayed.
